A whimsical, creamy dip styled to look like a melted snowman — perfect for winter parties and holiday gatherings.

I first made this dip for a holiday gathering and everyone loved the creative presentation and delicious taste.

Ingredients

  • Creamy Base: 225 g (8 oz) cream cheese, softened, 120 g (½ cup) sour cream, 60 g (¼ cup) mayonnaise, 1 tsp lemon juice, ¼ tsp garlic powder, ¼ tsp onion powder, ⅛ tsp salt, ⅛ tsp black pepper
  • Decorations & Garnishes: 2–3 black olives (for eyes, buttons, mouth), 1 small carrot (for nose, cut into a small carrot nose shape), 1 red bell pepper (for scarf, sliced), 1–2 pretzel sticks (for arms), Fresh parsley or chives, finely chopped (optional, for color)
  • For Serving: Crackers, breadsticks, or vegetable sticks

Instructions

Step 1:
In a medium bowl, combine the cream cheese, sour cream, mayonnaise, lemon juice, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix until smooth and creamy.
Step 2:
Transfer the dip onto a large serving plate. Use a spatula to shape the dip into a melted snowman puddle — a large uneven circle with a smaller mound as the snowmans head.
Step 3:
Decorate: Place two olive slices on the head for eyes and several small olive pieces for a smiling mouth. Insert the carrot nose in the center of the face. Arrange olive slices or peppercorns down the body for buttons. Lay red bell pepper strips around the neck for a scarf. Stick pretzel sticks into the sides for arms. Sprinkle chopped parsley or chives for a touch of color, if desired.
Step 4:
Serve immediately with crackers, breadsticks, or vegetable sticks.

For a lighter dip, substitute Greek yogurt for some or all of the sour cream and mayonnaise. Add a pinch of smoked paprika or chopped herbs for extra flavor. Get creative with decorations: use sliced pickles, cherry tomatoes, or colored peppers.
